NOTD: Concrete

SALLY HANSEN XTREME WEAR in CONCRETE

I saw this color as dupe for Sephora by OPI in Metrochick on somebody's blog and I loved it. I just wasn't sure if it would look good on my nails since its a pretty "muddy" looking color and I think it looks best on more fair skin tones. I got it anyway because I think its a perfect color for Fall.

I don't love the way it looks on my skin tone but I still like the color. I really like Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear they have many colors to choose from and they last about the whole week.

Fabolous Reds!

One of my all time favorite red shades would have to be Ruby Woo by MAC. Their was a time where I was soo into red lips that I would wear this literally everyday on the day time or night time I didn't care! Now, I'm not into Reds as much but I still rock the red lips from time to time. I found this beautiful shade by Revlon called "Really Red" and honestly it passes as a dupe for "Ruby Woo". They are very much a like. They are both matte finish. I found that Revlons surprisingly goes on a little bit more smoother than MACs, and of coarse its about half the price! So if your looking for a cheaper alternative to MACs Ruby Woo definetly check out Revlon Really Red. So which are some of your favorite reds?

I was browsing Walgreens couple days ago and picked up these very inexpensive items. First of all Wet n Wild is becoming one of my favorite drugstore brands, their stuff is really pretty amazing and so affordable, I'm starting to develop a small obsession for their products. Anywho they were having 50% on selected items so I couldn't resist. I was disappointed that their famous eyeshadow quads were all sold out but I will be coming back for them.
I absolutely love their lipsticks especially the color "bare it all" its my new favorite Nude! Also their Mega Lenght Mascara I will pick this over CG Lash blast any day! The Mega Volume Mascara was nothing special to me. The eyeshadow trios are also very good, super pigmented to my surprise I really love them! As for the moisturizer I have tried it on once and I did like it, it even out my skin tone very good, I will be using it a lot more. The Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation I have yet to try. I kind of think I grabbed a color to light for me, but they didn't have many colors to choose from to begin with, so will see. Well I hope u enjoyed this quick little haul. Bye!

E.l.f Cosmetics

E.l.f is a cosmetic brand I discovered about 2 years ago I can't remember where most likely a drugstore...I was a little hesistant to try their products at first because they were only $1.00. I figured if I'm gonna try anything I will try a lipgloss...right? why not? So I remember buying 2 of their Hypershine glosses in "flirt" and I was immediately hooked. Ever since then if I'm lucky enough to run into a store that carries e.l.f I have to grab something. Not everything is amazing in my opinion though, but for only $1.00 it doesn't hurt to try it out and if you don't like it then give it to someone that will! I gathered all the products that I currently own from e.l.f. (Not pictured are 3 beauty books, 2 which I just bought yesterday and will be showing you on a mini drugstore haul next) So lets get started.

1. E.l.f Brightening Eye Color Quad in Butternut- I know their is tons of girls who are obsessed with these little quads, but I wasn't too impressed. The colors are chalky and if you don't use a good eye primer on ur lids the color pay off is very poor. I'm a big fan of neutral colors which is why Butternut was my first choice, but after trying it I wasn't left wanting to try any other colors. I very much prefer their little beauty books now those are amazing! So their goes $1 wasted...not a big deal. Right?

2. E.l.f All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade- Now it says its an all over stick but I have only used it and will continue to use it only on my cheeks. I guess u can use it on your lips or eyes too...so this is pretty much like a cream blush and I really do like it. I apply it to the apples of my cheeks and it instantly gives them that dewy, glowy effect! I like this especially when my face looks tired and my skin looks pale. This is the only color I own, but I plan on trying out others.

3. E.l.f Super Glossy Lip Shine spf 15 in Pink Kiss- OK so I bought this lip gloss in a pack of like 5 which was $5. I hate it them instantly and gave them all away to my little niece. Someohow this one made it back or I forgot to give it to her. This gloss just looks too thick and uneven, patchy even if that makes any sense. It might work for some people but not for me. Their is one good thing though it smells really good.

4. E.l.f Eyelid Primer- This is another good product of theirs for $1. I wouldn't compare it to Urban Decaya Primer Potion, but it gets the job done. On a day where I want my eyeshadow to stay on ALL DAY I rather use my MAC Paint Pots or UD Primer Potion, but for days where my eyeshadow will only be on my face for a few hours I don't mind using this thing. It does make your shadows more vibrant and your lids wont crease for the most part. I have oily skin so after sometime mine do begin to crease a little bit, but not too bad.

5. E.l.f Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips- OK so this is another favorite of mine as you can see its almost all gone. I like how you twist the bottom of the tube and the liquid lipstick comes out. So u control how much u want it to dispense, it goes on super smooth and the color looks even. The smell is not the best, but u can always disguise it with a top coat of clear lip gloss or a similar shade. I guess you can describe this color as a "pinkish nude" which are my favorite.

6. E.l.f Waterproof Eyeliner Pen- No lie I have probably repurchased this eyeliner about 5X! (5x=$5) that's how much I love it! I use it every single day especially on my waterline it stays put and doesn't smudge its great! It is basically a marker so its super easy to handle and line your eyes because u can hold it just like u would a pen. This is hands down an ultimate favorite of mine.

7. E.l.f Zit Zapper- A Zit Zapper for $1? Sounds funny but I got it anyway...the first time I tried it I had a major red pimple on the side of my chin. Which is why i wanted to try it out. I put it on at night And in the morning obviously the pimple was still their but the redness had gone down a lot. That's cool with me because what product makes a pimple disappear overnight anyway? I recommend this little zit Zapper. .I forgot what it contains but you can look on the website. I believe its tea tree oil or something along those lines.

8. E.l.f Hypershine Gloss- So I have been a fan of these little glosses for a while. Both of the glosses are in the color "flirt", my favorite. Now they are pretty sticky but I don't mind that in my gloss. At least not in these. You twist the bottom also and the gloss comes out through the brush..so cute!

9. & 10. E.l.f Blush and Complexion Brush- These two brushes are from their Studio Line and they were $3 each. Their actually not bad quaility at all. I do use them on a regular basis. They are very soft. I recommend these if your starting to use makeup brushes and don't really mind using high end brushes like MAC or Sigma or don't wanna spend $30 on a single brush. These 2 are quite good.

11. E.l.f Eye Shadow Brush- I have 2 of these brushes just because their really pretty amazing. I can honestly compare it to the MAC 213. I mainly use it to pack the color on the lid. But it doesn't stop me from finding other uses for it. You would never guess this baby was only $1..get your hands on it ASAP!

12. E.l.f Defining Eye Brush- This little brush is nothing special. I will go weeks without using it and when I do I use it to apply color on the crease because all my other brushes are dirty. Doesn't do an amazing job its just their.

13. E.l.f Foundation Brush- this brush is pretty much the same as the one mentioned above. Its just their...its ok. Its good to have as a backup if all your other brushes are dirty, it will get the job done, but I wouldn't use it everyday religiously.

14. & 15. E.l.f Bronzing Blush and Face Brush - These brushes are garbage. They shed like crazy, they poke, they hurt, they make your face itch when your done applying and they leave little brush hairs on your face. Their horrible. Not even good for backup. Their goes another $2 wasted. At least it doesn't hurt your pocket.

16. E.l.f Lash & Brow Clear Mascara- This product has two sides: one with a clear mascara wand, which I don't care too much for and the clear brow side that I really like. I brush my brows over when I'm done shading then in with this and it helps the hairs stay in place...like hair gel for the brows!

17. e.l.f Shine Erasers- These are oil blotting sheets. The pack comes with 50 sheets. I like them. They do what their supposed to do. So what are some of your favorite e.l.f products? ?

Makeup Forever HD Foundation

Hey girls! I'm excited to do a review on this foundation that I bought about 2 weeks ago, and its the Makeup Forever High Definition Foundation. Their has been so much hype about this foundation, such as on youtube and magazines.  I truly believe this is a product that you will either completely love or completely hate. In my case its a Love. Anyways this is what it claims:
"HD Foundation combines flawless coverage and an
extremely natural finish. The Sericite contained in HD foundation
hightens the difussion of light and intensifies the glow of the skin.
Enriched with Relipidium, HD Foundation moisturizes and prepares
the skin for makeup. Its unusually smooth and elastic texture makes it
easy to apply and a pleasure to wear. Skin texture is refined
to give a very natural complexion."
Well let me tell you that so far what it claims to do, it does! The HD part basically is meant to make your skin look flawless and natural in pictures. I found this to be true when me and a friend of mine were taken random pictures of eachother closeup we are both the same color complexion (MAC NC40) and her face was just coming out super ghostly white very unatural, when my face was smooth and true to color. The foundation contains no SPF, its medium coverage and my color is in 153. I have been wearing close to everyday and I really like it probably more than my NARS which I grew to like after sometime, but thats a whole other story. Anyway, I read in last months Allure Magazine that this foundation is a favorite of Kim Kardashian. True or not, being a fan of her skin it convinced me to finally get it. It goes on super light and smooth, very easy to blend. Will not clog your pores. It gives you a very natural make-up finish. Definetly this is a foundation to try so if your interested visit your Sephora and check it out. Runs for about ($40)

Current *Likes*

So I wanted to show you some things that are my "Current Likes". Meaning at the moment I love them and use them  on a daily or close to.

AVON Bronzer in "Sunset Glow"
It has been on my cheeks just about everyday this summer. I really love it because it doesnt look to harsh or too dark on me, it gives me just the right amount of color when I want a little "bronzing shimmer."this was about $10
*
*
Sephora "Color to go"
Red Limited Edition
So this is a tiny makeup pallete that I picked up at Sephora when I was standing in line to pay. They always get you their! Anyway, I thought it was so cute. I liked all 8colors. You can easily create a simple day look or a more dramatic night look with this.. (They are super shimmery) Swatches:
It comes with a good size mirror that I probably will never use to apply my eyeshadow. When you slide open one side it comes wit the most amazing Blush! I would like to compare it to NARS "orgasm" I love it! I have it on my cheeks right now. When you slide out the other side it comes with 4 lipglosses that I really dont care too much for, but 8 beautiful eyeshadows and an amazing blush for $15! Can't go wrong with that!

Revlon lipsticks in
"Mauve it over" & "Nude attitude"
Two of my most favorite matte lipsticks from Revlon. "Mauve it over" (left) I like to use this lipstick anytime, anyplace. It goes with everything its perfect on my skintone (MAC NC40) Sometimes I top it off with a lipgloss from NYX in "Real Nude". The other "Nude Attitude" (right) I use whenever I do a very smokey dramatic eye, just to tone the look down a bit. Its hard for me to find the right nude because of my skin tone, if its too nude my lips look extra pale, but this so far has got the job done!
*
*
NYX Lipgloss in "Real Nude"
This has been a favorite lipgloss of mine for a long time. Its in "Real Nude" and although it is a nude shade it also has a nice pink tone to it that gives my lips a natural yet shiny "juicy" look. I wear it alone or I use it to top off any lipstick. Im addicted to this lipgloss.
*
*
Borghese Nail Lacquer in "Rubino Red"
I found this color at CVS a few weeks ago and never really gave it a chance. A few days ago I decided to paint my nails red and grabbed this color and I was really impressed by it. I have had it on for almost 7 days now. I'd like to think of this nail polish as my new favorite Red nail polish...for now.
*
*
Sephora Anti-shine Primer
I have been using this anti-shine primer since last week everyday, and so far so good. It feels just like water when you put it on, and typically I wait about 5 minutes before I move on to applying my foundation. Let me tell you this primer has really helped with my shine problem. I can go ALMOST the entire day shine free! Im really in likes with this product, I just hope it will continue to work for me! It ran for about $18.

Little Black Blazer

I was at the mall looking for a black blazer to go with my outfits for this Fall season. I found the perfect one for me. Where I least expected it.
V-Generation $27.99
This will look so cute over a mini dress or with some black leggings and a fun top or skinny jeans to tone it down...Can't forget the heels!
I switched up the buttons because I didnt like the black over-sized ones it came
with. I like these much better.
*
H&M $34.95
I also got this military inspired jacket. I wish my camera would of picked up the military green color, because it is not this color at all. Im glad it came with 2 extra buttons because those are the ones I used for my black blazer, so I really hope none of these buttons fall off! Anyways, I fell in love with it and had to have it. I cannot wait to wear it!

Sephora & MAC Haul

NARS Sheer Matter Foundation in Syracuse- ($42)
Kat Vond D Tattoo concealer in Almond- ($26)
Sephora Anti-Shine Primer- ($18)
MAC Viva Glam Gaga lipstick- ($14.50)
MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder- ($14.50)
MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating- ($14.50)

I went into Sephora last weekend, not really having anything in mind to buy, but I really wanted to check out the new Urban Decay Naked Palette. I really love all the neutral colors that it comes with and surprisingly they had it in stock, but for some reason after debating about it I decided not to get it (at the moment). Instead I decided to browse a little and decided to get a new foundation. I know I'm kinda obsessed with trying new foundations. Since I had heard great things about the NARS sheer glow foundation I decided to give it a try. Instead of the "sheer glow" I went with the "sheer matte". I really liked the way it felt on my skin. Feels really light. I haven't really had a chance to use it and make a full review on this or any of the products I bought from their, but I just know I'm gonna love this foundation. I also got the Sephora base zero brilliance anti-shine primer. This was recommended to me by the sales representative(of coarse)...Its a water based primer that "guarantees" a perfectly matte skin for 8 hours. So will just have to see about that. Last, I picked up the Kat Von D concealer. I know its very thick and can even conceal tattoos, so only a tiny dab on a blemish or under the eyes is needed. I cant wait to try that. I also went into the MAC counter because I needed to pick up two Eye Kohl eyeliners in smolder and fascinating. When I was about to pay I saw the  Viva Glam Gaga lipstick. I know its been out forever, I just never got it until now. Its such a pretty pink shade that really just compliments all skin tones. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this post and I cannot wait to review the stuff from Sephora. Byeee

Favorite Foundations at the Moment

I first would like to say that in order to keep your foundation looking flawless for a longer period of time, it is best to use a Primer. This will also help fill in large pores (or any small craters if you had acne) it will give you a more smooth look. I will do a review on the Primers that I use on another post.
So I have many different foundations that I like to use. Right now I have 3 favorite that I use depending on what I feel like that day and how much coverage I want. I recommend any of these 3 foundations if you have oily to combination skin and if you would like medium to full coverage. The first being the Revlon ColorStay for combination to oily skin. This foundation has been compared a lot to the MAC Studio Fix, and I would like to say that they really are the same in my opinion. Only difference is one is $29 and the other about $12! They are both medium to full coverage. The only thing about this foundation is it drys pretty quickly so you must work in small sections in order to make it blend and not look "cakey". (I like to apply my foundation with my fingers, or a brush that has synthetic bristles) This foundation also does not come with a pump which sucks because you do waste a lot of product; but I heard their coming out with one that does have one so I'm sure I'll be purchasing that! The color I use is 330 natural tan which is the equivalent if your and NC40 in the MAC Studio fix.
The next foundation is also a drugstore foundation and I like to use this one when I only want light to medium coverage, such as for the day time or when its hot! (when its SUPER HOT, I skip foundation and just do powder) but I'm really happy with this foundation, and especially for the price. I know its not more than $10 and its the: Rimmel Stay Matte. Again its also oil-free so it wont clog my pores. It also claims to leave your skin shine free for 12 hours but its not true, at least not in my case. I would say it stays shine free for about 3-4 hours. After that I do start to see some shine, but overall its a good foundation and I'm pretty sure I will repurchase it once I'm running low. The color I use is in 200 soft beige.
The last one I'm using alot is by Lancome and its the Teint idole ultra. This one is also medium to full coverage and I love love love the dewy finish it gives me! It looks very natural and I just feel like my face looks airbrushed. This one runs for about $40, but its definitely worth it in my opinion. I like to use this foundation at night or when I wont be able to retouch my makeup for a long time. This one also dries fast so I apply it little by little. My color is bisque 6. Its a little lighter than my usual color only because I bought this foundation before I got so tanned! But I find it still works for me. Remember the key is to blend, blend, blend!
